Fall gave us some breathtaking colours this year, with all the different tones of red, orange, yellow & magenta. Trees dropping their leaves are symbolic of letting go. Letting go of the old year. Letting go of old paradigms, of old habits and ways of thinking. As we experience the longest night of the year in the Northern hemisphere, we celebrate the beginning of Winter and Capricorn season.
A season to celebrate. The ancient Romans would celebrate Saturnalia to honour Saturn, the god of agriculture. Today we celebrate the changes to come with generosity and open arms.

How can one celebrate in time of
WAR?
WAR?
Capricorn season reminds us to recognize reality. To come to terms with what it means to experience life on Earth, and accept the circumstances that we find ourselves in. As we witness through our phones what are arguably the most horrific acts of colonial violence of our time, it's important to acknowledge our privileges.
As christians get ready to celebrate christmas, the question arises, what would happen if Jesus was born in contemporary times? Would he be buried under the rubble like many Palestinian children?
Jesus - the name that is called upon so often in western culture, in our daily lives, teaches us a lesson that goes beyond christianity and organized religion, it teaches us empathy, compassion and forgiveness. This level of consciousness that is awakening within us all, is also empowering us to use our voices for justice.
What kind of conversations are we having at the holiday dinner table?

El otoño nos brindó colores impresionantes este año, con todos los diferentes tonos de rojo, naranja, amarillo y magenta. Las hojas que caen de los árboles simbolizan él dejar ir. Dejando atrás el año viejo. Dejar atrás viejos paradigmas, viejos hábitos y formas de pensar. Mientras vivimos la noche más larga del año en el hemisferio norte, celebramos el comienzo de la temporada de Invierno y Capricornio.
Una temporada para celebrar. Los antiguos romanos celebraban Saturnalia en honor a Saturno, el dios de la agricultura. Hoy en día celebramos los cambios que se avecinan con generosidad y los brazos abiertos.
Sin embargo, cómo podemos celebrar en tiempos de guerra?
La temporada de Capricornio nos recuerda que debemos reconocer la realidad. Aceptando lo que significa experienciar la vida en la Tierra y aceptar las circunstancias en las que nos encontramos. Mientras presenciamos a través de nuestros teléfonos lo que posiblemente sean los actos de violencia colonial más horribles de nuestro tiempo, es importante reconocer nuestros privilegios. Mientras los cristianos se preparan para celebrar la Navidad, surge la pregunta: ¿qué pasaría si Jesús naciera en esta época? ¿Quedaría enterrado bajo los escombros como muchos niños Palestinos?
Jesús, el nombre que se invoca con tanta frecuencia en la cultura occidental, en nuestro cotidiano, nos enseña una lección que va más allá del cristianismo y la religión organizada, nos enseña la empatía, compasión y perdón. Este nivel de conciencia que está despertando en todos, también nos está empoderando a usar nuestras voces por la justicia. ¿Qué tipo de conversaciones tendremos en la mesa de la cena navideña? ¿Cómo es que participamos en el capitalismo? Cada interacción humana es una oportunidad para educarnos. Cada paso que damos con integridad dignifica nuestro espíritu.

How is our health affected by the work conditions we are in? How can we remain integral on a physical, mental, emotional, spiritual level while at work?

Many people are becoming conscious of the fact that modern forms of slavery exist. From the garment workers in Bangladesh who have been protesting for over a month for fair wages, to the children working in the coltan mines in The Congo. From the Uyghur muslims who are forced to work for no pay, to the people in Gaza waking up under the rubble.

As we approach the end of 2023, this is the last Solstice we'll experience with Pluto in Capricorn. Meaning, we are letting go of old structures of living, of ways in which we experienced reality. Pluto, the god of death and rebirth, first entered pragmatic Capricorn around this date in 2017. And will be finally moving into Aquarius for good in 2024. We have acquired a level of maturity during these years and now we must end those cycles.

De la misma manera que celebramos los pequeños logros en nuestra vida diaria, honrando a aquellos que han fallecido y que se encuentran en posiciones menos favorables que nosotres. Pensando en los demás. Jesús bajo los escombros… Es siendo generose y cariñose. Es dando de una manera que sólo alguien que tiene empatía sabe hacerlo. Compartiendo amor.
