𝘈 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘋!𝘚𝘔𝘟𝘕𝘛𝘓 - I've been looking for ways to channel my anger and frustrations towards this cis-tem and all the f*ck shit that's going down with people turning to fascism. This is my attempt to not take things too seriously and incorporate some humour into my work while also spitting facts and letting all my thoughts out! Who knew satire was such a powerful political art form? (You did) So yes I made a song about it. I want to thank @nedquintana_ for listening to too many versions of this song before I finally decided to release it today (gracias amix) y un beso y abrazo de esperanza a toda mi gente que tienen la (R)EVOLUCION en el alma! Les amo! Listen to the full song on Soundcloud and Youtube!

Hola Marikitass!
We're thrilled to bring you the fourth installment of FUFA - Food for All / Comida para Todes, a 2SQTBIPOC-centered gathering with delicious food and live music, happening on Tuesday, November 19 at It’sOk Studios, 468 Queen Street West, on the second floor (accessible via stairs). Doors open at 7:30 PM, with dinner and music starting at 8:00 PM. Masks will be available at the door.
For our fourth edition, we’re excited to feature Ned Quintana and MUSA MAY CRY, two talented indie singer-songwriters whose heartfelt lyrics and powerful voices are sure to move and inspire us.
MUSA MAY CRY is an alternative R&B musician based in Toronto, originally from Kisii, Kenya. Deeply inspired by heartbreak and the melancholy of being a twenty-something, Musa’s upcoming EP Ultramarine Boy adds a fresh voice to the ever-growing Sad-Boy Toronto R&B tradition. Musa recently released a new single, Jameson Fantasy, available here.
Ned Quintana is a Chilean writer and singer-songwriter based in Toronto. Blending alternative pop, rock, trap, and Latin sounds, his music tells powerful stories of self-discovery, resilience, and the journey from a small town in Cauquenes to life in a big city. Influenced by Selena Gomez and Lana del Rey, Ned’s emotive lyrics and vocals evoke a vivid range of emotions, inviting listeners to reflect and connect. Ned has released four albums and multiple singles, all available on Spotify.
We’re honoured to present work by our vendors, Kïkeyah and ABI SEWS THINGS. Kïkeyah Alina (she/her) is a Xicana Pilipina farmer and transdisciplinary artist whose practice is rooted in the land and her connection to community. Abi is a multidisciplinary artist whose creations embody the spirit of movement through dance, singing, and visual arts. Their sewing projects breathe new life into everyday items, bringing accessibility, connection to ancestors, and expressions of gender and body joy. Abi’s art reflects a balance of generational trauma and knowledge, as well as joy and play.
All ticket sales and donations will support grassroots organizations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Please select a ticket tier based on what you can afford. We prioritize those experiencing food insecurity and financial hardships. Tickets can be purchased here.
Our vegan, nut-free, and gluten-free menu is crafted with care in collaboration with Omar Aidaroos, also known as The Hadrami Guy. Omar, who frequently hosts community dinners, will be serving a Yemeni-inspired spread: Fattoush salad, Shurbah Shofan (a savoury oat soup), Sanuna, a hearty veggie stew with rice, Karak Shai to drink, and gluten-free Puff-puff or Beignet for dessert. Come hungry!
Huge gratitude to the Community One Foundation for their grant, YouthLine for their support, and PFlag Toronto for their generous donation. Their contributions help us make this monthly event possible, offering free and low-cost meals to our community.
This is a 2SQTBIPOC-centered space that welcomes our diverse community and allies. We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind, including transphobia, homophobia, or racism.
If you'd like to perform, vend, volunteer, or donate, please reach out on Instagram @marikass.fiesta or via email at marikass.to@gmail.com.

We’re back with our delicious FUFA - Food for All / Comida para Todes, a 2SQTBIPOC-centred gathering featuring food and live music. Join us next Monday, October 28 at 7 p.m. at Glad Day Bookshop on 499 Church st.
For our third edition, we’re thrilled to feature the talented Raiesa, who will enchant us once again with her beautiful music. She has performed for us before during our New Queen Voices event and we're thrilled to have her back with her captivating voice and sound!
This time, to allow for more seating space, we will not have a vendor. Instead, we’ll be selling Free Palestine Prints donated by Dani from Sismo Collective for a PWYC (Pay What You Can) price, with a suggested donation of $20. All proceeds, along with ticket sales, will be sent to Palestine through e-sims and GoFundMe campaigns. We cannot stand idly by in the face of this genocide and urge everyone to support in any way they can.
As always, our food will be vegan and gluten, and nut-free. Stay tuned for the full menu! Drinks will be available for purchase at Glad Day. All drink sales go towards supporting Glad Day Bookshop, a vital space for the queer community in the heart of the Church/Wellesley village.
A big thank you to Community One Foundation for awarding us a grant to make this possible, as well as the LGBT YouthLine, Glad Day Bookshop, and PFlag Toronto for their generous support. With their help, we’re able to continue hosting this event monthly, providing free and low-cost meals to our community.
Thank you all!
Thank you to everyone who came out last night and made it an evening like no other. In this second iteration of FUFA, we had learned so much as a team from the first event - which allowed us to approach this one from a different angle - that we were able to run things more smoothly.
Personally it became clearer to me how important it is that we come together to eat as a community and enjoy music/art and create culture communally. Not only is it beautiful and incredibly enjoyable but it is vital for our survival and for us to thrive as a people that we honour the ways in which our ancestors would gather and that we add our special spark to it ✨
This time around everything went so much smoother! (It was no longer mercury retrograde lol) But in all seriousness it was thanks to the incredible volunteers who are stars and beacons of light and hope in the community! I would like to personally thank @itsmarygomes @katinfact @nedquintana_ @scr3wface_nic @marin.of.blossoms @sayunara_ and my amazing mother @fatamorgana_de_ ! 💝 @omurulaije for allowing us to witness their incredible artistry on display! To @attaloom who delighted us with one of the most beautiful performances of magical colours and music I've ever experienced! And of course @fer.pezsea and @likemomocita you are both so special and powerful, I love you both so much! Finally thank you to everyone who attended the event and co-created the amazing vibes we experienced last night! This is for you! 🙌💖
Until next time! 😇💕
