Summer came and left faster than you can say "autumnal equinox", yet its impacts are memorable and everlasting. How was your summer overall? And how has this change of season impacted you? For me, I live for the summer. The energy of the sun activates me and makes me feel healthy. I’m so grateful for this summer that just passed, and honestly, now that the days are getting shorter I’m feeling a bit of sadness for it all being over. The sadness is there, but there’s also excitement. Excitement over the elegance and coziness of fall that just began, and excitement to chase the sun to the Southern Hemisphere later in the winter.
Now that the Retrogrades are finally over, I'm feeling a renewed sense of clarity. Every value, every wish, every desire that was re-examened, re-assesed, re-purposed–will now be brought into fruition during this forthcoming eclipse season. As the nodes of karma activate by our luminaries, the sun and the moon, portals of evolution open and any karmic relationships, events and situations from the past that are unresolved or still pending, will be re-lived and brought back into the present as an opportunity to be handled differently this time around, and for it to be processed in a new light. Therefore letting go of this dead weight, we are progressing, and upgrading, evolving.
El verano llegó y se fue más rápido de lo que puedes decir "equinoccio de otoño.” pero su impacto fue memorable y para siempre. ¿Cómo estuvo tu verano? ¿Y cómo te ha impactado este cambio de estación? Yo, vivo para el verano. La energía del sol me activa y me hace sentir saludable. Estoy muy agradecide por todo lo vivido este verano y, sinceramente, ahora que los días se acortan siento un poco de tristeza. La tristeza está ahí, pero también hay emoción, excitación. Emoción por la elegancia y comodidad del otoño que acaba de comenzar, y excitación por las ganas que tengo de seguir al sol al hemisferio sur en el invierno.
Ahora que los retrógrados finalmente terminaron, siento una renovada sensación de claridad. Cada valor, cada deseo, cada anhelo que fue reexaminado, reevaluado, reorientado, ahora se hará realidad durante esta próxima temporada de eclipses. A medida que nuestras luminarias, el sol y la luna, activan los nodos del karma, se abren portales de evolución y cualquier relación, evento y situación kármica del pasado que no esté resuelta o aún esté pendiente, será revivida y devuelta al presente como una oportunidad para abordarlo de manera diferente, esta vez procesarlo bajo una nueva luz. Por lo tanto, soltando este peso muerto, estamos progresando, actualizándonos, evolucionando.
The autumnal equinox is one of the two days a year where night and day are equal in length. It’s because of this that it’s believed that the constellation of Libra was associated with the symbol of the Scales. This constellation was called the “Balance of Heaven” by the Sumerians and later on, ancient Egyptians saw the scales as a tool Anubis would use to weigh the souls of the deceased. Together with the Feather of Truth from the goddess Ma’at, they would determine where the soul would be sent to. Much like Anubis, the Romans named the constellation of Libra after the scales the goddess Justitia (Astraea or Dike), the goddess of justice, would use the balance to weigh the souls of those who had passed. This is where the contemporary imagery of Libra comes from. the symbol of Justice, and ultimately, Truth. Justice can’t be served unless truth is found, and a situation or experience can’t be processed or resolved unless the truth or truths (plural) are recognized and acknowledged.
El equinoccio de otoño es uno de los dos días al año en el que el día y la noche duran lo mismo. Es por esto que se cree que a la constelación de Libra se le asocia con el símbolo de la Balanza. Esta constelación fue llamada el "La Balanza del Cielo" por los Sumerios y mas tarde los Egipcios vieron la balanza como una herramienta que Anubis usaría para pesar las almas de los difuntos. Junto con la Pluma de la Verdad de la diosa Ma’at, determinarían a dónde sería enviada el alma. Al igual que Anubis, los romanos nombraron la constelación de Libra en honor a la balanza que la diosa Justitia (Astraea o Dike), la diosa de la justicia, usaba para equilibrar las almas de aquellos que habían fallecido. De aquí surge el imaginario contemporáneo detrás de la constelación de Libra. El symbolo de la Justicia, que en el fondo es la "Verdad". No se puede hacer justicia sin saber la verdad de un asunto y una experiencia no se puede procesar o resolver al menos que se reconozca(n) la verdad o las verdades.
